Thompson First Group is seeking Production Associates for temporary to hire opportunities for a local client in Newark, DE.
Candidates with a background working in production, manufacturing, or working as a machine operator are encouraged to apply.
Description of Duties/Responsibilities
This position is responsible for performing general labor on product and material handling duties
Performs general labor on product and material handling tasks in the factory to include, but not limited to, filling product bags or boxes, adjusting package weights, sealing product bags or boxes, opening package bags or boxes, dumping product into hoppers, labeling product packages, and palletizing or racking product
Supports the plant’s sanitation program by helping with general cleaning and sanitation
Follows GMP’s, Sanitation, and Food Security requirements
Operates factory equipment on own or with other members of the team
Ensures safety and productivity of assigned work according to OSHA standards
Ensures completion of the production work with all necessary documents
Ensures the quality of the product
Attends training as required
Communicates any deficiencies to Team Leader and/or Supervisor
Additional duties as assigned
Occasional Bending, Climbing, Grasping, Kneeling, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting, and Operation of Equipment
Frequent Standing, Walking, and Repetitive Movement
