Thompson First Group is currently seeking a Quality Control Lead for a local client in Hunt Valley, MD.
To oversee adherence to company GMP, food safety and food defense policies through monitoring both internal and external audits as well as through customer feedback. Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policy, HACCP prerequisite programs and quality systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts pre-op inspections and completes supporting documentation
Release production based on the review of quality records
Perform environmental monitoring activities (collecting micro samples)
Execute and review GMP and food safety audits
Participation in development and review of Continuous Improvement initiatives
Maintenance of pest control systems
Maintenance of SDS and chemical list
Development and maintenance of off-quality material dispositions (pending, approved, rejected)
Develop or acquire rework procedures
Develop and manage line sheets and sampling plans
Oversee and lead employee training
Review and maintain log for production retains
Verify adequacy and effective execution of SOPs and SSOPs
