Thompson First Group is seeking Service Technicians for permanent opportunities for a local client in Rockford, IL.
The right candidate will have at least three years of experience working as Automotive Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Farm Equipment Mechanic or a Forklift Mechanic.
Responsibilities
Road Mechanic should be experienced in electronics and hydraulics repair
Diesel and gas engine repairs
The ability to service and maintain fleet of aerial and heavy equipment
Communicate with managers to asses customer needs
Troubleshoot and complete repairs of industrial and construction equipment
Complete all technician paperwork.
Assure all parts order have been submitted to parts department
Perform detailed pre job and post job inspections
Follow warranty procedure for associated repairs
Keep a clean and safe work area
Work well with other technicians when help is needed
Qualifications
Clean driving record
Technical experience
Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematic
Detail oriented
Good communication skills
Sufficient hand tools
Prompt and consistent attendance
