Thompson First Group is seeking Shop Technicians for permanent opportunities for a local client inBolingbrook, IL.
The right candidate will have at least three years of experience working as Automotive Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Farm Equipment Mechanic or a Forklift Mechanic.
Responsibilities
Ensure work is performed in a safe manner and in accordance with company policy, OSHA and DOT
Shop Mechanic must be able to communicate with Service Manager on problems that could result in work delay
Knowledge of Aerial Equipment
Shop Mechanic should have experience in electronics and hydraulics
Diesel and gas engine experience
Shop Mechanic should be able to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment
Have a strong mechanical aptitude
Must be dependable and report to work on time
Shop Mechanic must provide own tools
Must not have a fear of heights
Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 75 pounds
Qualifications
Technical experience
Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematic
Detail oriented
Good communication skills
Sufficient hand tools
Prompt and consistent attendance
