Thompson First Group is currently seeking qualified Maintenance Mechanics for traveling Field Service positions.
This position requires extensive travel throughout the United States.
Candidates that have a background completing Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) on steel are encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities:
Install, repair, replace and dismantle machinery according to blueprint specifications.
Act as signal person for A-C employed crane operators to ensure continuity of safety on the worksite.
Use hoists, pulleys, jacks, and come-a-longs to perform tasks.
Fit bearings, align gears and wheels and attach motors.
Welding: Join steel materials with various arc welding processes to form a permanent bond.
Cutting: Use heat from burning gases or an electric arc to cut and trim metal objects to specific dimensions.
Move equipment and materials to different locations using a forklift and/or manlift.
Certificates / Licenses / Registrations
Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) - Must pass a qualification test
Candidates must possess a valid U.S. drivers license
