Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanics for a local client in Tampa, FL. Candidates who have a background working as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.
Routinely inspects and maintains building and installed systems including but not limited to packaging machinery, plumbing systems, production equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and grounds.
Performs minor and routine repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
Maintains heating and air conditioning units for the facility.
Assists with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
Creates and maintains up-to-date service and replacement data files for building equipment and machinery.
Communicates need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment to appropriate manager.
Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair.
Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
Inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment of unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations.
Prepares required reports and correspondence.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
High school diploma or equivalent.
5 years or more related electrical experience along with pneumatic and hydraulic experience.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and industrial maintenance.
Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and read electrical drawings.
Ability to work at heights (if needed).

PLC knowledge a plus.

Bilingual skills a plus.
Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
